95% Albariño and 5% of Treixadura from a single plot, “As Penelas” from schist soils. It is an Albariño from inland Galicia, far from the influence of the sea, resulting in a much more mature and complex wine than an Albariño from Rías Baixas.95% Albariño and about 5% Treixadura from a single schist vineyard. (Schist is spelled xisto in Gallego, which is where the name for the wine comes from.) Fermented with native yeasts; aged on the lees until bottling. Great concentration, mineral-laden, balanced with pretty stone fruit and a hint of salinity.
