Denis Meunier’s family has farmed in Vouvray since 1927, when his grandfather first acquired vineyards there. Denis assumed control of the family’s 13-hectare estate from his father and uncle in 2012. The vineyards, planted on flint, clay, and tuffeau soils around Vernou-sur-Brenne, include vines up to 65 years old and are farmed using organic farming practices. Le Clos Baglin is fermented equally with cultured and native yeasts in stainless steel, then aged on its lees for four to seven months before bottling.
