The project is named after Jordan Salcito's youngest sister, who became obsessed with the fictional literary character Ramona Quimby when she was younger and renamed herself Ramona, refusing to answer to any other name. As 'Ramona,' Anne-Marie developed a mischievous, fun-loving alter-ego. That independent spirit informs the spirit of Ramona.
